The Spanglers are a military family based in Alaska. Amanda and Jef have 3 children, and are in Uganda now to add a 4th child, a 7 year old boy to their family. They have been in Uganda since January 23rd and have not been able to complete the first step of their adoption yet, which is to secure a court date. The Spanglers found out on March 11th that their adoption agency has gone bankrupt and closed their doors. The family has lost all of their fees paid to the agency, in addition to the extra traveling costs incurred for their unexpected and lengthy stay in country.
The Spanglers are dedicated to their son and will not leave the country until they do everything they can. They are pursuing their son as a private adoption now and are in need of help. They need funds to cover the fees lost to the agency, to pay for a private lawyer to complete the adoption, and to support them as they stay in Uganda with their son until he can come home.
The Spanglers are also stepping out in faith to adopt the second child which they were approved for and trusting that God will provide for both adoptions.
As friends of the Spangler family we ask you, please if you can spare even the smallest amount, or you feel the need to do a good deed, pay it forward and help this family get back home together. Even a dollar helps…anything helps. We can all come together and support this family in our own small way and make a big difference for them and their son.
