MEDICAL/HOLISTIC CARE: The goal of our Mobile Medical Outreach Program is to put together medical missions teams for the needs of The Village of HOPE and its surrounding unreached communities, including the homeless community. These programs are accomplished through already established relationships with area indigenous churches, ministries and government. We are continuing to develop additional relationships with medical professionals, dental professionals, therapists, chiropractors and holistic care specialists so we are able to provide well rounded care for a wide range of medical issues in our area.
The services provided by our Mobile Medical Outreach Program include but are not limited to:
- General health care
- Wound care
- Prenatal care
- Diagnostics and specialist references
- Follow up care
- HIV and other testing and counseling
- Basic prescriptions and dispensing of medication as needed
EDUCATION: Another function of our mobile unit will be to educate the community on medical topics, including and especially HIV testing and treatment. We are currently educating judges, social workers, school systems and municipalities about the reality of living with HIV.
Our education opportunities include but are not limited to:
- HIV Education
We provide education related to not only physical but also spiritual needs. These education prongs will allow us to expand our reach into areas like potable drinking water systems, micro-enterprise, or training on better/new crops since all of these areas could impact a community’s health.
